I used a 8B graphite pencil. I like the soft pencils. With control I can get a lot complete. This is my largest to date and is 20x24 inches. The painting is a gift to my daughter Erica at her request so I will make prints of this to sell. She wanted something with lots of color. What you will see is my interpretation of this photo that gets sent around in e-mails as “God’s paintbrush”. It is so beautiful and you can find more stunning photos labeled with the same name but different scenes, autumn and such. I cannot give credit to who took this photo because the origin is unknown.
