Productivity 6x6 in. Acrylic on canvas
I painted this after a weekend of learning the Chakra’s and some meditation during my 200 hour Yoga certification training. I have been feeling the creative urge this past week. It really started bubbling over and I was happy to be back at the easel for some fun time.

Thanksgiving
What was said to the rose that made it open was said to me here in my chest. What was told the cypress that made it strong and straight, what was whispered the jasmine so it is what it is, whatever made sugarcane sweet, whatever was said to the inhabitants of the town of Chigil in Turkestan that makes them so handsome, whatever lets the pomegranate flower blush like a human face, that is being...

Abstract......
I was floundering a bit with this current painting that is turning out to be a sunset scene, or is it a sunrise? Anyway….after talking with another artist last night I can hardly wait to get to painting it further! The canvas is approximately 10x8 inches. It looks like it’s big in the photos. It is just amazing what a little insight and inspiration from a simple conversation can do. I...

Letting my painting marinate
“Transformation Man” has me a bit stumped for now. I waver back and forth on where it’s going or even weather I like it! After adding a bit here and there I have let it marinate for a few days. I like it a bit more each day. It’s becoming a part of me. However……what I have decided to do was to let it sit on the back burner and I am starting another painting. I...

First Friday at the Art Bank
Well….We had our event, Yay Indy 58!, at the Art Bank yesterday. We had great participation. And as Ken Rader, our event connection and source said…”We will feed hungry patrons of the arts”. And we did. We gave out free hamburgers, hotdogs, brownies, water, wine and beer. One of our participants even built a wall for some art to hang outside. I took my piece over at about...
Framing my painting
“I See You” is matted and framed for it’s showing. Thank goodness this was ‘50% off frames’ week at Hobby Lobby!! Great timing. I chose a white frame first then when I framed it with the ‘whisper of lavender’ matting it looked so conspicuous, like a 70’s guy with a white belt and shoes. So I literally slid into Hobby Lobby at closing and the check...
First showing
A friend of mine has open up an opportunity for me to show my painting at “First Friday” (6:00-11:45 p.m.). It is a gathering of artists at the Art Bank on Massachusetts Av. in Indianapolis. I have no idea what it’s like as I have had limited exploration since I have been in Indy the last 4 years. Welcome to the world, Donna! There will be other artists there as well, including...
transformation man
Above is a photo of the “canvas attachments” for my awesome Mabef easel. The attachments allow painting the edges. I am glad I invested in them when I bought my easel. The research into the best easel for me paid off! They are GREAT! The Universe is kind and loving.
(Below) I took a photo of this last night and the colors were so bright. Acrylic’s dry a bit duller than they...

now what do I do?
This is truly funny…or is it something to consider. My daughter looked at the base color and said “leave it”, as in it’s complete. sheesh should I make this a different painting? arrrrgh!
